Hey! Come check out these awesome new(ish) bands. The Daveys and And And And will both be making their Valentines' debuts on Monday. Should be a great night of Garage. We're really looking forward to it.

Tonight: Thursday, January 28th!

So, not only will we be enjoying the ever-lovely Tender, Love, and Care Country sounds tonight (as per usual last Thursdays with Mike and Josh), but we'll also be celebrating the release of Mr. Gordon Organ's Men With Broken Hearts country tape that just came out apart of the Mississippi Records awesome tape series. Should be a super nice, flannel and whiskey kinda time. Hope you can make it. We'd love to see you!

TUESDAY, JANUARY 26th

This will be a very special evening. Sir Richard Bishop is one of the greatest musicians of our time, and if you've not ever had a chance to see him with The Sun City Girls or solo it will blow your mind. Richard plans to play a long, solo set and will be joined by Hisham from the amazing Sublime Frequencies label who'll play a ton of amazing records from all over the planet before and after.

This is super special. We are totally excited and honored. Come by around 9 or so and enjoy.

Oh hey also: Something RAD coming up!

This Sunday, January 24th we'll be celebrating the release of an awesome new publication, Prism Index. We'll be looking forward to seeing sets from Ohioan, Arrington De Dionyso (of Old Time Relijun), and Alps of New South Whales. Earlier on in the evening we'll also be debuting short films by Michael Hurley (Yes, thee Michael Hurley), Mike Kuchar, The Zellner Brothers, and more. There are so many amazing makers apart of this book. Absolutely worth checking out. Hope you can make it and help us celebrate!

This should be a really gorgeous night of folk-based music. All three of these songwriters kill me. Such a pleasure to have them all in one night. Especially excited to see Galveston as a full band. Not to be missed.

Sunday, Jan. 17th

And, oh my word. Can we just say how excited we are about this Sunday? Our friend, Mr. Mike McGonigal (who also does the beloved Yeti quarterly) has just put out a gorgeous Gospel compilation, Fire In My Bones. To celebrate, Mike, DJ Beyonda, DJ Hwy 7 and DJ Worms (Warren Hill of Mississippi Records) will be here to play records from their own personal Gospel collections though the night. Should be a very special evening in and of itself (...not to mention a fine way to celebrate the life and work of Doctor King the day before the holiday).
